About Us

Thoughtful design. Naturally inspired.

The man behind the plans

Founded by Jackson Perkins on the Central Coast, Hidden Potential Landscape Design combines horticultural insight with construction know-how to produce gardens that feel natural, intentional, and enduring.

Drawing on a deep understanding of plant behaviour, seasonal rhythms, and spatial flow, our work is grounded in the belief that great landscapes should thrive over time, evolving with you, your lifestyle, and the land itself.

From Humble beginnings: A labour of love.

“I began my career in the landscape industry in 2013, working as a structural landscaper on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. My hands-on experience in construction sparked a deeper interest in design, leading me to begin a Diploma of Landscape Design in 2017. This formal study provided a solid foundation in design principles, planting, and spatial planning, which I was able to build on through practical experience with an established local designer.

Since launching my own practice in 2019, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a range of residential projects, beginning in Sydney and gradually transitioning to the Central Coast. My approach blends structural knowledge with creative vision, ensuring each design is both functional and visually engaging. I’m passionate about creating outdoor spaces that respond to the unique character of the site and meet the individual needs of each client.”

All Projects

At Hidden Potential Landscape Design, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work — the Darkinjung people. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and recognise their deep and ongoing connection to Country.

We are inspired by the land’s ancient stories, native flora, and natural forms, and we honour the legacy of care, design, and knowledge that First Nations people have practiced for tens of thousands of years. In every landscape we shape, we strive to walk with respect for the land’s original designers.
