Set against the coastal backdrop of Avoca Beach, this landscape design enhances the homes’ contemporary architecture, while celebrating its breathtaking north-east views. The design embraces, a clean, modern aesthetic softened by lush, layered planting that moves with the coastal breeze.
Outdoor living spaces are seamlessly integrated with the interior, creating inviting zones for relaxation, entertaining and connection with the natural environment. Addressing the steep topography was a key consideration when preparing the design.
The material and plant choices on site were selected to cope and withstand harsh onshore and offshore conditions, which will be left to evolve and mature in their own idiosyncratic ways. The result is a timeless coastal landscape that balances elegance and functionality.
At Hidden Potential Landscape Design, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work — the Darkinjung people. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and recognise their deep and ongoing connection to Country.
We are inspired by the land’s ancient stories, native flora, and natural forms, and we honour the legacy of care, design, and knowledge that First Nations people have practiced for tens of thousands of years. In every landscape we shape, we strive to walk with respect for the land’s original designers.
